It is a good way to get familiar with the studio. Having an introductory one hour class whether you’re starting yoga for the first time or coming back into your yoga is always a good idea.

After attending the Yoga Beginner Basics, you can attend any of the beginners classes a week.
Attending a yoga class at least twice per week or more is definitely better for you than only once weekly. Attending a Led Practice is available to students at no additional cost if they are enrolled in the term class. It is important to attend classes on a regular basis to encourage consistency and to know how your progress is going.

You will need a pass to attend our yoga classes.

The Yoga Beginner Basics and Beginners Courses are designed for students who are generally well and do not present chronic injuries or illness. Stiffness is not a problem, nor are injuries which still allow you to move freely – just be sure to advise your teacher of any problems you are facing.

The numerous benefits that yoga can bring far outshine the risk involved. Beginning with Yoga Beginner Basics with an experienced Iyengar Yoga teacher who provides guidance and assistance is the best way. We strongly recommend starting with the Yoga Beginner Basics.

You can practice yoga more effectively if you eat your last meal/snack at least 2 hours before class. It is better to drink water before class and not during, water bottles are not encouraged in the studio.

Arrive at least 10 minutes before class starts.

You don’t need to bring anything, the school is fully equipped. You can bring your own towel or mat if you would like.

Comfortable clothing.

Props foster physical alignment, helping to restore and reinforce good posture, promote lightness in the body and reduce strain.
